Trilucent Care Centre Databases

     

    Overview - 3 country specific databases created to enable patients to be contacted and monitored following a medical product recall.

    Extremely tight deadlines for creating data capture solution due to urgent nature of the project.

    Input also required to ensure the data capture proformas would capture all necessary data to enable full reporting to DOH.

    Functionality - Data validation and input mask rules at table design level, e.g. product produced after 01/03/1999, system would not allow dates prior to 01/03/1999 unless over ruled by administrator as a trial component.

    Input masks for postcodes and telephone numbers etc.

    Form level mandatory field validation – whole form could not be submitted if certain fields were not completed for specific scenarios, e.g. old form flag.

    Drop down menus to limit values that can be entered.

    Process - Training for users and admin at changing drop down lists.

    Report and queries created.

    Excel report created using extract from database, automated as far as possible, sent to DOH.
